Perfection in the Resurrection

Dear Gramps,
I heard someone say once that those people  with tattoos will still have their tattoos after the resurrection. The reason being that they chose to put those markings on their body.  Is this true doctrine?

Sam

Dear Sam,

We read in Alma the 11th chapter where Amulek taught the people that: 43 The spirit and the body shall be areunited again in its bperfect form; both limb and joint shall be restored to its proper frame, even as we now are at this time; and we shall be brought to stand before God, cknowing even as we know now, and have a bright drecollection of all our eguilt.  44 Now, this restoration shall come to all, both old and young, both bond and free, both male and female, both the wicked and the righteous; and even there shall not so much as a hair of their heads be lost; but every thing shall be arestored to its perfect frame, as it is now, or in the body, and shall be brought and be arraigned before the bar of Christ the Son, and God the bFather, and the Holy Spirit, which is cone Eternal God, to be djudged according to their works, whether they be good or whether they be evil.

In Alma 40, the Prophet Alma tells us:  23 The asoul shall be brestored to the cbody, and the body to the soul; yea, and every limb and joint shall be restored to its body; yea, even a dhair of the head shall not be lost; but all things shall be restored to their proper and eperfect frame.
Being restored to its proper and perfect frame means that we will be resurrected without any deformities, scars, tattoos, baldness or piercings.   As we age our bodies begin to deteriorate.  We can no longer run like we use to or work as hard as we use to.  I am looking forward to the resurrection where the aging process will be reversed and we will be resurrected with a perfect body.
