Language in blessings

When giving blessings, we are pronouncing a blessing as directed by the Spirit. This is different than a prayer. We, as priesthood holders, are receiving revelation as to what to say from the Father. Should we use the same language (thy, thou, etc.) in giving blessings that we use in prayer?

Dear Blake,

In using “old world” language (thee, thy, thou) we are addressing our Father in Heaven through prayer. The sacrament prayers come to mind as well.
